360 Security will ensure that nothing harmful lurks on the web or download files. It can block access to websites that are suspicious, scan your browser history, monitor the amount of data you’re consuming and even locate your phone missing.
The suite also includes a firewall, a shredder for data and scheduled tools for cleaning the system. It is able to automatically update drivers as well as have anti-tracking capabilities. It even gives you access to privileged access to tech support with just one click.
The software’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly even though there are plenty of options and settings. The majority of the settings are controlled by the large buttons, switches or checkmark, which is great from an ergonomics perspective. The program is free and is available for both Windows and Mac.
The antivirus does a good job of protecting your computer from malware. Its real-time protection detects more than 95% of malware and didn’t cause any false positives in my testing. It’s not as effective in terms of level detection as other leading products in terms of the scanning of files and heuristics.
360 Total Security comes with many security and maintenance options. A VPN is available in the premium version. The heuristic algorithm it uses to detect malware by analyzing the behavior of a program, which is extremely useful, especially if the threat has not yet been officially identified. It also includes a ‘cleanup’ utility and other tune-up tools that aid in improving the performance of your PC.
